Nationalization of banking sector event of far-reaching consequences for country

JAMMU, July 17: The Nationalization of Banking sector on 19th July, 1969 was an event of far-reaching economic consequences for our country. JPBEF has all along been celebrating the Nationalization of Banks every year, as our National organization AlBEA does.
This year also our Federation decided to celebrate the day in an entirely different way. The function this year was held along with some deprived sections of society. Accordingly, we held a social function at Red cross sponsored Home for Handicaps, near KK Resorts Bohri. Our Federation had organized some entertainment and eatables for all the inmates of the Home for handicaps. The Home has in it nearly 65 deaf- dumb and specially abled children. JPBEF considering their educational needs distributed some reading material stationary and associated things like pens, pencils etc to all these children. Federation has also decided to assess their other educational needs which shall also be attended in due course of time.
AIl such attempts by the vested elements within the Government will have to be fought tooth and nail. The function was also attended bya various public figure and Bankmen which included com Tara Singh, President of the Federation and Com Ashwani Pradhan General Secretary State Al India Bank Officers Association. Besides above comrades, others who attended the function included Com. Yogesh Kumar, Com. Harminder Singh, Com. Lucky Jamwal, Com. Avtar Singh, Com. Kewal Kumar, Com. Jatinder Arora, Com. Avinash Sharma, Com. Sahil Samnotra, Com. Gourav Kumar, Com. Girdhari Lal, Com. Sachin Hans, Com. Anant Parsad, Com. Sanjeev Sucha, Com. Karan Dogra. General Secretary JPBEF. Com Arun Kumar Gupta expressed his gratitude and sincere thanks to Sh. Satish Kumar Sharma Secretary of the Home and Miss Archana Devi, Teacher and Warden at the Home, for effectively coordinating with Federation in making the program a grand success. Federation also assured the Home to conduct more such programs in future also.
