Kavinder accuses Valley-based parties of abetting terrorism, supports DGP's statement

Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 17: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, today accused the Valley-based political parties for their alleged role in abetting and sponsoring terrorism in the region. His remarks come in support of the recent statement by the Director General of Police, which implicated these parties in cultivating terror leaders for electoral gains.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder emphasized that the continuous rhetoric from Valley politicians, particularly the Abdullahs and Muftis, serves only to encourage and embolden terrorists. He asserted that these statements are a deliberate attempt to maintain unrest in the Valley, hindering the resettlement of the indigenous community.
"The National Conference and PDP have consistently misled the Kashmiri people, fostering a climate of terror in their quest for power. Their actions demonstrate a fundamental disregard for the safety and well-being of the region's residents, as they seek to retain influence by deceiving the public," he said.
Kavinder Gupta noted that the recent decline in stone-pelting incidents and the return to normalcy in Kashmir Valley have left leaders like the Abdullahs and Muftis in a state of despair. He expressed concern over the apparent affinity of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and other NC leaders towards Pakistan, questioning their loyalty to national interests.
"Unlike any other political entities in India, the NC and PDP seem more focused on appeasing Pakistani leadership rather than addressing the suffering of those affected by the rogue nation's terrorism," he said, adding that this pattern of behavior raises serious questions about their commitment to the welfare of the people of Kashmir.
