Education key to societal growth, national development: Rana

MATHWAR, July 17: Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today exhorted students to aim high as sky is the limit for meritorious, especially in the present competitive era, saying excellent scoring opens vistas of opportunities in career development.
Lauding the resilience, hardwork and devotion of students achieving excellence in this year's Class 10and 12 results, Mr Devender Rana said they have not only bestowed pride to their parents but brought laurels to their institutions as well.
He was addressing students, parents and teachers at the felicitation ceremony to honour 342 meritorious pass outs of Block Mathwar and Amb Gharota of Nagrota Assembly Constituency. This was third in the series of events to acknowledge the academic excellence of outstanding students in the past few days and so far 698 meritorious students from the four Blocks of Nagrota assembly constituency have been felicitated.
"I am extremely overwhelmed on your accomplishments and wish you more of it in the classes ahead that are going to define and decide your careers ", Mr Rana said , adding that merit opens doors to numerous opportunities, imperative for pursuing passions and chosen fields.
Mr Rana said that education is not just a means to personal accomplishment but a cornerstone for societal growth and national development. This is why the main thrust of the governments led by Prime Minister Yashasvi Narendra Modi during the past over a decade has been expanding the reach of quality education to every nook and corner of the country with focus on bridging the gap between rural and urban areas. The motivation behind all these measures is to provide level play field to the young people to excel in their pursuits, he added.
He underscored the significance of education in designing the future and encouraging students to continue striving for excellence. Education is a catalyst for various aspects of development, including economic growth and social cohesion. By equipping generations with knowledge and skills, the ornament of education fosters a vibrant workforce capable of contributing towards various sectors, which, in turn, propels enhances the overall quality of life, he maintained.
Mr Rana complimented the teachers for putting their best in shaping the academic journey of their taught and congratulated parents for investing their blood and sweat in the development of their children. He stressed on close cooperation and synergy between teachers and parents for a better future of children.
The felicitation ceremony is an annual feature initiated by Mr Devender Rana to promote competitiveness and encourage excellence among students.
