| Bhim gets warm welcome in Treligam | | | Early Times Report
Kupwara, Mar 18- Thousands of Kashmiris gave a tumultuous welcome to Panthers Party Chief, Prof. Bhim Singh on his visit to Trehgam in Kupwara district. Syed Rafiq Shah, who was recently elected as MLC on NPP ticket, also accompanied the party chief.
Hundreds of the people took the Panthers Party leaders in a colourful procession from Kullangam about 10 kms from Tregam in Kupwara District. This was the first visit of Syed Rafiq Shah to his native town after his election to the Legislative Council as Panthers Party candidate.
Large crowd including men, women and mostly youth greeted the Panthers Party leaders with sky-renting slogans like, ‘Our King, Your King, Bhim Singh, Bhim Singh’.
Rafiq Shah in his maiden address after becoming MLC assured to carry forward the mission of ‘Haq and Insaaf’ to every door so that the people of Kashmir Valley in general and historic place like Trehgam in particular shall also get an opportunity to share the fruits and beauty of Indian democracy.
Addressing the gathering Prof Singh expressed his anguish against the discrimination of the people of J&K by the so-called National Parties and leadership. He accused both National Conference and Congress and held them responsible for the miseries and sufferings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that both the parties are working to exploit the people to establish their family rule both in Delhi and in Srinagar. He appreciated the united role of the opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly which is evident from the highly impressive victory of Panthers Party candidate in the Council elections.
