Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: The 126th Birth Anniversary of Jagadguru Bhagawaan Gopinathji, known as Mahajayanti, was celebrated on July 18, 2024, at the Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram in Udaiwala, Bohri, Jammu, with great fervor, gaiety, and enthusiasm. Thousands of devotees gathered from early morning, steadily increasing in number throughout the day to pay their respects to the revered Master. The Bohri Ashram, considered a sidh-peeth by devotees, witnessed a significant spiritual gathering where prayers were believed to be answered, fulfilling both spiritual and mundane concerns of the devotees.
The celebrations commenced with the Paduka Poojan at 8:30 a.m., where devotees worshipped a symbolic Paduka (wooden Kharavoon) of Bhagawaanji. Following this, hundreds of Sadhus were fed and given dakshina (cash offerings), continuing the tradition from Bhagawaanji's lifetime. Devotional songs and music filled the air, continuing until late in the evening, culminating in the evening Aarti at 7:15 p.m.
Throughout the day, the Ashram buzzed with intense spiritual activities. Thousands of devotees participated in the distribution of prasad. The event proceeded peacefully, thanks to the orderly behavior of the devotees and the presence of police personnel at the premises.
Special thanks were extended to the Jammu Municipal Corporation, Police Department, Traffic Police, and Power Development for their services during the event. Gratitude was also expressed to the Doordarshan team and other electronic and print media for covering this annual celebration.
The Mahajayanti was simultaneously celebrated at various Ashrams across the country, including Kharyar in Srinagar, Greater Kailash-I in Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi, Hastsal Village in Vikaspuri, New Delhi, Nande Balewadi Road in Pune, Devangondi Hosahalli in White Field, Bengaluru, and Hitech City Main Road in Madhapur, Hyderabad. Celebrations were also held in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Kandivilli in Mumbai, Nerul in Navi Mumbai, and various other Satsang Mandals across India and abroad.
The 126th Mahajayanti was marked by devotion, unity, and a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment among the devotees, reaffirming their faith and connection to the teachings of Bhagawaan Gopinathji.
