Stand with BJP for development, prosperity; Kavinder rallies support for party

JAMMU, July 18: Terming the people's support in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as very crucial, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has appealed to the people to stand with the party for ensuring all-round development and tranquility in the Union Territory.
The senior party functionary was addressing a voter appreciation convention (Matdatta Samman Sammelan) here on Thursday.
Kavinder urged the people to continue to support the party with the same momentum as they did during the recent Lok Sabha polls leading to the astounding victory of BJP candidates in Jammu and Udhampur Constituencies. He categorically said that the future of J&K is in the hands of the people and there is no other way except strengthening the hands of PM Narendra Modi by giving unbridled support to the party in the forthcoming elections in the Union Territory as the BJP government in the region will help in fast pacing development and bringing prosperity for the people.
He also urged the party activists to repeat their performance as they did during the Lok Sabha elections to consolidate and convert the party's support into votes, as winning the Assembly polls in J&K is crucial for the well being of people and also the country as well.
Earlier, Kavinder felicitated MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for his tremendous third-time continuous victory in the Parliament elections and lauded his contribution for appropriately highlighting the issues of Jammu and Kashmir in general and the Jammu region in particular.
Addressing the gathering, Jugal Kishore maintained that the clean sweep by the party in J&K is a must for ensuring lasting peace and progress because the negative role played by certain Kashmir based political parties is known to one and all and therefore it is necessary that people should remain focused and united to realize resounding victory of BJP in the Assembly polls giving no room to parties which do not want peace in the region as turmoil in J&K suits them to satiate their vested interests.
Later, Rekha Mahajan District President also addressed the gathering and sought wholehearted support in the upcoming polls in the UT.
Vinay Gupta, Aseem Gupta, Rajiv Charak and Raj Kumar Tarkhan also addressed the meeting and asked the party workers to work diligently for ensuring the victory of the party in the ensuing political battle in J&K.
