| Final Phase of ‘Display your Talent-2008-09’ | | Cosmic College of Education bags first position in folk dance competition | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 18- Cosmic College of Education Lakhanpur was adjudged first in the Inter-Collegiate department folk dance competition organized by the Department of Students Welfare University of Jammu, under its final phase of ‘Display your Talent 2008-09’ competition. PG Integrated University of Jammu and MIER College of Education bagged the second and the third slot respectively.
Today’s event was witnessed and enjoyed among others by Peer NAAC team which is currently on a three day visit to the University. The team is headed by Prof R C Sobti Vice Chancellor of Punjab University.
On the basis of rhythm, formations, expressions, costumes, makeup sets and overall effects, Mohan Lal Nayyar, Jagriti Sharma and Shilpa made the judgment. Rishi Kumar cultural secretary from the Business School University of Jammu compared the program
And Dimple Sharma cultural secretary of law department read out the rules and regulations for the event.
The other participating teams in the competition were Government Degree College, Kathua, Government Women College Gandhi Nagar, Divya College of Education and Government College for Women Parade.
Prof. Dian S. Bhau dean students’ welfare university of Jammu presented awards to the winners.
