| Food workers serve ultimatum to Govt | | | Early Times report Jammu, Mar 18- Food and Allied Workers’ Union at an emergent meeting convened here today under the chairmanship of its president Bishan Dass and attended by Nizam -ud-Din, Anil Sharma, Om Prakash, Abdul Hamid, Ali Mohammed and Abdul Sattar decided its future course of action following government’s failure to implement the direction passed by the High Court with a regard to revision of minimum wages. The meeting decided that in case the government failed to implement the Court directions within next 15 days, the workers would be constrained to stop working and there would be no work in all the CADP food stores for three days from April 6 across the state. The meeting also decided to launch a coordinated movement to force the government to redress the grievances of the workers and implement the judgment of High Court in toto. The workers charged the government of backtracking from its promise of implementing the court order. The Union has formally served a notice to the government to this regard.
