Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 20: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, today underscored the profound significance of spirituality and the pursuit of salvation as essential pathways to achieving emancipation (Moksh). He emphasized the need for individuals to imbibe the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and cultivate a spirit of devotion to lead successful and harmonious lives.
The senior BJP leader was speaking during the Bhagwad Saptah organized by Pappu Choudhary, BJP leader, at Ram Mandir, Ward No 43 in Gandhi Nagar Constituency here today.
"Reading the Bhagavad Gita at our homes should become a practice for all. The teachings contained within this sacred text offer timeless wisdom and guidance that can help us navigate the complexities of modern life," he said. He urged the community to take collective responsibility in ensuring that the present generation remains connected to the profound teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
Highlighting the relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in today's world, Kavinder Gupta noted that its teachings on duty, righteousness, and devotion are crucial for fostering a balanced and purposeful life. "The Bhagavad Gita is not just a religious text but a universal guide that offers solutions to various challenges we face in our daily lives. By embracing its teachings, we can cultivate inner peace, resilience, and a deeper understanding of our purpose," he added.
The former deputy Chief Minister also commended BJP leader Pappu Choudhary for his efforts in organizing and conducting the Bhagwad Saptah. "Such programs play a crucial role in fostering unity, peace, and moral values in society. They also provide a platform for people to come together, reflect on spiritual teachings, and strengthen the social fabric," he remarked.
Kavinder Gupta reiterated the importance of integrating the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. He expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire more people to seek spiritual knowledge and contribute to building a harmonious and enlightened society.
