PULWAMA, July 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom Saturday conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing developmental projects in Rajpora, including the Government Degree College (GDC) Rajpora, the Overhead Tank (OHT), and the Hospital at Rajpora.
The DC directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the pace of ongoing developmental works at the GDC to ensure completion within the stipulated time frame. The Overhead Tank (OHT), with an approved cost of ₹341.44 lakh, is scheduled for commissioning next month, benefiting around 300 households through the scheme.
During the surprise inspection of Hospital Rajpora, Dr. Basharat taking strong note of shortcomings directed CMO and BMO to rectify gaps and submit action taken report within two weeks time. The demand for uninterrupted power supply was also reviewed wherein engineers of KPDCL informed that said demand has been incorporated in RDSS and would be executed on priority. The DC directed KPDCL to examine the need of AVR to avoid voltage fluctuations in view of criticality of equipment. Additionally, instructions were given to the Tehsildar Rajpora to demarcate the project of GDC and submit proposal for additional land requirement for college.
On the spot directions were given for the installation of curtains on ventilators to mitigate glares that affects gameplay at Multi-Purpose Indoor Hall Rajpora.
