| Verma reviews health arrangements in Reasi | | | Early Times Report
REASI, MARCH 18 - To make a detailed review regarding the functioning of health department and its various activities all over the Reasi district to provide medicare and health referral services to the general masses at their door steps, the District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Mr. Sanjeev Verma convened a meeting of officers of the health department here today.
During the meeting, Mr. Verma inquired minutely from the Block Medical Officers of various Primary Health Centers regarding medicare facilities being provided to the rural masses all over the Reasi district.
The functioning of Primary Health Centers, Medical Aid Centers and Sub Centers with staff strength and provision of medicines especially in far flung and remote areas of tehsil Mahore, Thakrakote, Ghulabgarh, Sungri Chasana and Bhumagh with infrastructure facilities were also came under active discussion during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Verma laid stress for strengthening of ASHA workers and health workers to provide adequate awareness among the rural women to obtain maximum benefits under various small family norms, to provide necessary services to pregnant ladies and case to case study at all the areas of the district.
He emphasized upon the doctors for quality work of ongoing construction works of various health related building in rural areas and stressed upon them to organize refresher courses to strengthen the field functionaries and also keep proper watch over the posted staff so that no one may suffer for want of medical services. The main aim of the health department is to provide all medical services to the patients at all the far off and remote corners of the district on priority, he added.
Among others, senior doctors from the district hospital, Reasi and Block Medical Officers from Reasi district participated in the meeting.
