| Poll preparedness reviewed in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, MARCH 18 - District Election Officer (DEO) Mr. G.R. Bhagat chaired a meeting of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and other Revenue functionaries in his office chamber to review the special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll-2009 of the district for ensuring free and fair conduct of polling in two Assembly segments of Kishtwar and Inderwal in the ensuing Parliamentary election 2009.
The other issues discussed in the meeting include process of the data entry including supplementary of fresh electoral rolls, creation of the new polling booths in both assembly constituencies of the district, formulation of segment wise transport plan within two days, submission of daily law and order reports to the district headquarter, schedule for the training of EVM to the polling staff and furnishing the booth wise list of blind voters of district Kishtwar.
Addressing the meeting, the District Election Officer asked for completion of all pending election related work well before the issuance of the election notification for 6-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency which also includes the Kishtwar and Inderwal assembly segments in the district.
The meeting was attended by all the Tehsildars of the district, Naib Tehsildars, Booth Level officials, Supervisors and other field functionaries of the Revenue department.
