| Restrictions on processions in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MARCH 18 - District Magistrate, Jammu Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari in exercise of powers vested upon him under Section 144 Cr.P.C. has ordered that no processions shall be taken out by any individual or group of individuals and no provocative slogans shall be raised by any one in the areas on routes from Bajaj Tower to Amar Filling Station, on flyover from Police Control Room to District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) behind New Secretariat, Jammu, on flyover from Subash Chowk (Maheshpura Chowk) to DIET and Rotary behind New Secretariat to New Secretariat.
However, this order shall not apply to marriage and funeral processions.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate, Jammu in exercise of powers vested upon him under Section 144 Cr.P.C. has also ordered that no person/ persons/ party shall dump/ threw any kind of malba/ garbage/ construction refuse on the road/ road side between Panjtirthi to Sidhra Bridge, Circular Road to D.C. Office Chowk and Wazarat Road, Jammu and around Air Force compound wall and Civil Airport Wall. Any person found violating these orders shall be booked under law.
These orders shall come into force with effect from 16-3-2009 for a period of two months or till rescinded whichever is earlier.
