JAMMU, MARCH 18- The eight-member team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), currently on a three-day visit to the University of Jammu, called on Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, here last evening.
The team comprised Chairperson of NAAC, Prof. R. C. Sobti, Prof. (Dr.) N. Jayasankaran, Prof. Harish Narang, Dr. R. G. Sonkawade, Prof. R. Indira, Prof. Naresh Kumar, Mr. C. V. Rao and Mr. B. S. Madhukar.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Varun Sahni and the members of the Steering Committee constituted by him to provide the required support and information to the NAAC team were also present, and included Prof. B. P. S. Sehgal, Prof. G. S. Sambyal, Prof. Ashok Aima, Prof. S. C. Gupta, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Dr. D. S. Bhau and Dr. Jatinder Khajuria.
Chairman of the NAAC informed the Governor, that they were having interactions with the teaching staff, assessing the facilities, and reviewing research projects undertaken by the students. The NAAC team would also interact with the Vice Chancellor and hold meetings with the University officials.
