Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 22: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, expressed his optimism for the forthcoming Union Budget, highlighting its potential to address the needs of every section of society equitably and advance the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). He emphasized that the Budget is expected to play a crucial role in propelling the nation towards its development goals.
In a statement issued here today, the senior BJP leader commended the central government's ongoing efforts to uplift the nation's socio-economic status. He remarked, "The upcoming Union Budget is anticipated to be transformative, reflecting the strategic foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is expected to cover every section of society equitably, ensuring that no group is left behind as we move towards a prosperous and developed India."
Kavinder highlighted key areas where he hopes the Union Budget will make a significant impact, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education. "Robust infrastructure, accessible healthcare, and quality education are fundamental to national growth. The Budget should prioritize these sectors to build a strong foundation for sustained development," he emphasized.
He also stressed the importance of targeted investments in Jammu and Kashmir, aligning with the broader national development goals. "Jammu and Kashmir has immense potential. Strategic investments in tourism, industry, and infrastructure will open new avenues of prosperity for the region and integrate it into the national growth narrative," he asserted.
On the subject of agriculture, he called for dedicated support for farmers. "Agriculture remains a critical sector. The Budget must have included provisions to ensure farmers' financial stability, offer modern farming techniques, and facilitate better market access," he said.
He also advocated for measures to promote entrepreneurship and job creation. "Creating jobs for our youth is crucial. The Budget should include incentives for startups and small businesses, particularly in technology and manufacturing sectors, to drive economic growth and innovation," he suggested.
Kavinder Gupta also praised the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the remarkable achievement of presenting the 7th consecutive budget, highlighting her consistent dedication and expertise in steering the nation's financial policy through a period of economic challenges and growth.
The former deputy Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Union Budget would pave the way for a prosperous and self-reliant India. "With a forward-looking budget that addresses every section of society, we can achieve significant milestones on our path to Viksit Bharat," he affirmed.
