Jammu, July 23: Department of Commerce, School of Social Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu, inaugurated “5 Days workshop on Research Methodology under Capacity Building Programme” under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Bechan Lal, CLUJ inaugurated through virtual mode.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of distinguished speaker, scholars and students. The event began with Saraswati Vandana by Dr Roshi Charak, Assistant Professor, Department of History, School of Social Sciences. Dr Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu was the Chief Guest of the event. He applauded the efforts of School for organising various workshops and seminars under Capacity Building Program. Dr. Anand emphasized that research is a way to nurture students potential, students can investigate the impact of implementing new thought processes through research and testing. Researcher is enable to tackle global challenges and make evidence – based decisions. Dr Vishal Sharma, Dean, School of Social Sciences, also stressed on the importance of such knowledge building workshops. He said that such workshops are an essential step towards conducting meaningful and impactful research that can contribute to the advancement of knowledge and betterment of society. Dr Neetu Kumari, Coordinator Commerce, School of Social Sciences in her welcome address, shared the brief overview of the workshop. She mentioned that this workshop spans five days of learning with distinguished experts.The various resource persons for the workshop will be Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, School of Management Studies, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, Dr.Shahid Mushtaq, School of Business Studies, Central University of Jammu, Dr. Suvidha Khanna, School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, University of Jammu and Dr.Vinay Kumar, Department of Management Studies, BGSB University. She said that participants will gain a deeper understanding of the methodologies that drive high quality research.
The resource person for the first session was Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, School of Management Studies, Bhaderwah campus, University of Jammu. He encouraged students to participate in such workshops, as these events enrich their knowledge and create the interest of students in joining world of research. Lastly a formal vote of thanks was given by Dr Parul Chhibber, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Cluster University of Jammu.
