Army training command engages with The Veterans, Ex-Servicemen

Jammu, July 23: Headquarters Army Training Command held an interaction with Veterans and Ex-Servicemen of Shimla region on 23 July 2024.
The interaction was aimed at highlighting the Indian Armed Forces solidarity with the Veterans and Ex-Servicemen to reassure them that Armed Forces were sensitive to their needs and aspirations.
The Veterans and Ex-Servicemen were made aware of the latest policies, benefits and welfare schemes launched by the Central and State Governments.
They were informed about the latest Memorandums of Understanding signed with various national and private banks offering enhanced facilities and coverage for serving and retired Armed Forces personnel.
In exclusive addresses by dealing Army officials, the veterans were updated about SPARSH, the System for Pension Administration, procedure for different types of documentation required post-retirement, the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) and Zila Sainik Welfare Organisation (ZIWO) beneficiary schemes.
The Ex-Servicemen were informed about the Agnipath Scheme, wherein Regimental Centre Commandants and Commanding Officers highlighted the positive outcomes of the scheme.
They were also enlightened about the avenues for Agniveers post four years engagement with Indian Armed Forces.
