Cyber Cell Of J&K Police solves three online financial frauds | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 23: Cyber Cell of DPO Jammu solved three separate online cyber crime complaints. 1. A complaint regarding financial fraud to the tune of Rs.1,00,000/ was received in cyber cell DPO Jammu in which the complainant received a fake call from crime branch Mumbai regarding money laundering, subsequently an inquiry was initiated into the matter and the defaulter who had asked for aadhar card details from the complainant and in no time an amount of Rs 100000 got deducted from his personal account. 2. In another incident of the same kind a fraudster approached the complainant telephonically and got Rs 58000 transacted from his account. 3. In yet another incident this cyber cell received a complaint regarding a financial fraud at the end of a trading company which used not to return the hard earned money of the investors by adapting to unfair means.In this regard the complainant lost an amount to the tune of Rs 44000. With the timely intervention and showing the professional excellence meticulously ,Cyber Cell Jammu put an aggregate amount of Rs 198000 on hold out of Rs.2,28,000/which otherwise could have been misused and fraudulently transacted for various unfair means. District Police Jammu, equipped with advanced technology and skilled personnel, remains at the forefront in the fight against cybercriminals. |
