Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh celebrated 70th foundation day

JAMMU, July 23: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh celebrated its 70th foundation day in all over the state and all the affiliated unions celebrated this day with enthusiasm and distributed parsad / sweets among the workers the functions were organised at unit level by Ascoms Employees welfare Association at Batra Hospital sidhra, Anganwadi workers welfare Association Jammu at block levels, Salal power project workers union Jyoti puram Reasi, J&K Bank officers organisation Jammu, Jammu Cooperatives whole sales workers union at super bazar Jammu, NHM Employees Association Jammu, Jammu Club workers union, Bhawan Niman Mazdoor Sangh project Rattle Kishwar, and many other places. The BMS Flag was hosted by Smt. Neelam Sharma state general secretary at state BMS office while speaking on the occasion Harbans Choudhary senior leader of state BMS and Ashok Choudhary high lighted the principles of BMS framed by Sh. Dhotopant Thengdi Ji in 1955 while announcing to form a national level trade union strictly announced that 1. BMS Shall be of the workers, 2. For the workers, and 3. From the workers, most importantly its character will be non political and any one who wish to join politics have to quit the BMS and laid three principles Rashtara Heit Udyog Heit and Shramik Heit and BMS is working on these principles
Harbans Choudhary while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the Govt. that before issuing notification on labour codes the objections raised by the BMS regarding the code on Industrial Relations and occupational safity and health needs to revisit otherwise BMS will oppose for its implementation and Govt will be responsible for its consequences, further at present there is huge violations of labour laws as at present there is grave violations as 12 hours duty are being taken but over time is not paid accordingly no wage slip are being given in any industry neither earned leaves are given to so called Contract labours and further demanded that minimum wages was revised in 2022 but it is not linked with VDA and value of wages fixedtwo years ago have ;lost its relevance BMS also appeals to Hon'ble Governor that locals be given preference in employments in industries and other infrastructural projects
S. Chanan Singh Toor, , Chuni Lal, Lal Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Sher Singh, Subash Chander ,Ramesh Lal Malhotra, Kuldeep Raj, Shamsher Chand, and Bua Ditta attended the programme at BMS State office said in a press release
