| Court reprimand for MLA Reasi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Mar 18- Taking cognizance of the complaint filed by a hotelier Amit Cawasji under section 341/383/506/RPC against the said Baldev Raj Sharma sitting MLA of Reasi constituency, Munsiff Katra has directed him (Sharma), who was present in the court, to furnish bail bond to the tune of Rs10, 000.
The complaint has been filed by Amit Cawasji senior Manager of the White Orchid Hotel Katra, alleging that the MLA Reasi is threatening him for no valid cause.
Finding the person no less than a MLA involved directly in the extortion of money from the complainant, the complainant had no way out but to lodge a formal complaint with the Court of law. The grievance of the complainant is now that even though the court has initiated the process against the said MLA yet the complainant is being consistently harassed and threatened by the said MLA who had come to the court with 200 of the muscle men. The complainant feels scared for his life even though he has approached the court of law as the said MLA by his conduct is not even scared of the process of court.
