DODA, July 25: The District Election Office Doda, under the supervision of District Election Officer, Harvinder Singh, organized a meeting of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at Town Hall, Doda.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Sudershan Kumar.
The primary agenda of the meeting was the summary revision of the electoral rolls. The ADC emphasized the importance of accurate and up-to-date electoral rolls to ensure free and fair elections.
He urged the BLOs to meticulously verify the voter lists and address any discrepancies promptly.
During the meeting, several key points were discussed, including the inclusion of new voters, deletion of names of deceased voters, and correction of errors in the existing voter lists. ADC Kumar highlighted the need for BLOs to conduct door-to-door verification and to ensure that no eligible voter is left out.
ADC also stressed the importance of public awareness campaigns to inform citizens about the ongoing summary revision and the procedures for voter registration and corrections.
The BLOs were also briefed on the use of technology in the electoral process, including the use of mobile applications for voter registration and the verification of documents.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, where BLOs were able to address their queries and receive guidance on various issues related to the summary revision process. |
