| Bhim dubs NC-Congress as corrupt regime | | |
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 19- Accusing the NC-Congress government for indulging in corrupt practices by promising jobs to thousands of youth through police recruitment, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman of JKNPP has expressed shock over the attitude of the Election Commission of India in protecting and promoting corrupt practice in Jammu and Kashmir when it has imposed Code of Conduct itself. Addressing media persons here today Prof. Bhim Singh said that the party has given a representation to the Election Commission of India to direct State Government and its police department to stop the so-called recruitment process during the Lok Sabha elections. He regretted the Election Commission has not cared to intervene. ‘This is a tragedy that Election Commission has given green signal to the Government of J&K to nominate eight members in the Legislative Council when Code of Conduct stands imposed. This is height of Election Commission’s indulgence to promote corrupt practices in Jammu and Kashmir by helping Congress and National Conference ruling clique in J&K’, Prof Singh alleged. In the meantime, the Panthers Party Parliamentary Board headed by Harsh Dev Singh, leader of the Panthers Legislature Party announced the name of Prof. Bhim Singh as a candidate from Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency. The Parliamentary Board has authorized Harsh Dev Singh to start a dialogue with other political parties regarding other five Parliamentary constituencies in J&K.
