Rajouri, March 19- In order to give boost to the Industrial activities in the district a one day awareness camp was held at ITI Sunderbani
Large number of unemployed, entrepreneurs, traders besides Tehsildar, block development officers, Superintendent Industrial Training Institute, Sunderbani participated.
General Manager, District Industries, Rajouri in his address explained various schemes of Industries Department particularly a newly introduced Central Sector Credit linked subsidy scheme called Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) being implemented in the district. He said employment opportunities are available in Rural and Urban areas for setting up of new self employment ventures/ micro enterprises. He stressed upon the unemployed youth to come forward and take benefits of the PMEGP by establishing their own income generating ventures. Divulging on the scheme, he said that under this scheme the maximum cost of the project admissible under manufacturing sector is Rs. 25 lakh and maximum cost of the project admissible under service sector is Rs. 10 lakh and subsidy to the tune of 25 percent to 35 percent. He briefed about the incentives available with Industries Department besides scope of different type of industrial activities in the district particularly in Sunderbani block.
