GDC RS Pura launches college beautification drive

RS PURA, July 31: Provision of conducive teaching and learning environment is the need of present era for the successful uplifting of educational activities in the campus. Beautification of the campus has positive impact in enhancing students' learning and in which faculty and students can work and study comfortably. This helps students in developing their interest in seeking quality education too. Keeping this in mind, NSS unit of the college in collaboration with the beautification committee launched a beautification drive in the college campus today on 31.07.24 by cleaning and maintaining paths and parks, seating chairs, towering trees and softy grass. Though this campus is surrounded with lush green scenic beauty and reflects a picture of daffodil blossoming in the vicinity. This sense of aesthetic pleasure considerably contributes into students' critical thinking, personality maintenance and love for nature.
The event was organized under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the College who was also instrumental in organizing the drive. She apprised that the Campus Beautification Cell, often referred to as CBC, is responsible for enhancing the aesthetics and overall appeal of a college campus which plays a vital role in creating a positive and attractive environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The drive was organized by Dr. Chanchal Angral, the NSS PO and Convener beautification committee and Prof. Shifali Abrol, co-convener beautification committee and co.ordinated by Dr. Hari Singh and Dr. Sunil Kumar, members of NSS unit and near about 30 NSS Volunteers participated in the drive with great zeal.
