Awareness programmes on Self-Employment, e-Shram registrations organised at Block Rajgarh

RAMBAN, July 31: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, an awareness program regarding various Self Employment Schemes under Mission Youth J&K and e-Shram Registration was conducted today at BDO office Rajgarh. The program was conducted in coordination with the Rural Development Department.
The event aimed at generating mass awareness about the self employment schemes of Mission Youth among the unemployed Youth of the block and benefits of e-Shram Registration among the labourers.
At the beginning of the programme, Amit Kumar, Assistant Labour Commissioner having additional charge of Assistant Director Employment Ramban briefed about the schemes of Mission youth like MUMKIN, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiatives. He elaborated the eligibility conditions, benefits and procedure of applying under the schemes. He further urged the youth to think innovatively and bring out innovative ideas to set up their own business models and units and this department is ready to provide the required financial and other kind of support. He assured that such camps shall be held on a monthly basis in each Block. Nearly 70 people participated in the event and about 15 young people showed their willingness to apply under these schemes. Block Development Officer Rajgarh, Ashfaq Ahmed, Naib Tehsildar Rajgarh and representatives of Agriculture Department were also present in the event.
The camp was also attended by labourers/ construction workers, to whom ALC Ramban gave detailed information about welfare schemes being provided by the JKBOCWWB and benefits of e-Shram Registration. He briefed the new rates of the education assistance to be provided to the wards of the registered construction workers applicable from this financial year 2024-25.
He further urges e-Shram registrants who don't have ration cards to approach the concerned TSO office to get themselves registered for obtaining the Ration Cards.
BDO also encouraged the youth and labourers to cooperate with the labour and employment department and take the benefits of the schemes being implemented by these departments. He assured that further support shall be provided to the Labour and employment department for conducting such camps in Block Rajgarh.
