RAMBAN, July 31: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today reviewed the preparations for the celebration of Swachhta Pakhwada, fortnightly sanitation and plantation drives "Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam," from August 1 to August 15, 2024, across the district.
During the review meeting, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the preparedness of various departments, particularly the Rural Development Department, to launch the "Swachhta Sangarsh" campaign in all Panchayats of the district.
He directed all officers, heads of educational institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in and around their offices and institutions. He emphasized starting the sanitation drive from their residences to disseminate the message of the importance of personal and overall cleanliness in the district.
In line with the plantation drive themes "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" and "Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam," the Deputy Commissioner instructed the DFO Social Forestry, DFO Batote, and DFO Ramban to lead these events in coordination with concerned BDOs, Tehsildars, and the Education Department. He stressed the importance of engaging the general public to ensure a successful fortnightly plantation drive across the district.
