| BJP Govt made historical rectification by ensuring proprietary rights to WPRs: Kavinder | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 31: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday said that the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi has ensured a fair deal for the West Pak Refugees (WPRs) by giving them the proprietary rights on State land.
In a statement issued to media persons, the BJP stalwart leader said that this step of ensuring which was due to the WPRs is another remarkable stroke by the Modi Government as earlier the community was empowered in J&K by the same dispensation through extending the domicile and the voting rights. He said that through this move the government has removed the long pending error which has been committed by the successive dynastic governments that ruled the erstwhile state of J&K just to loot its resources and pound the marginalized sections of the people in one way or the other.
The senior BJP leader said that this monumental decision stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the government to bail out the marginalized and put an end to the injustices of the past. He said that this landmark initiative is more than just a policy change and the same could be termed as a beacon of hope and a harbinger of a new era where every citizen, regardless of his or her historical circumstances, has the right to thrive and prosper. He said besides the WPRs, the government has also alleviated the gloom of displaced persons of 1965 by giving similar rights to them also.
Kavinder said that through such philanthropic steps in J&K the Modi Government has time and again proved that it is merely not a dispensation rather it is an epitome of a welfare state, for which people of all regions are longing for whether it is India or any other country, because this dispensation is discrimination free and good for all. |
