Thousands of students across the world started their new journey with enthusiasm at LPU

Jalandhar, July 31: Lovely Professional University (LPU) commenced its academic year 2024 with an engaging Freshman Induction Program, welcoming a thousand of students from around the world from different states and countries. The event featured a diverse array of sessions, such as interactive games, industry insights from esteemed guests, meet-and-greet sessions, and ice-breaking activities.
The inauguration of the event was graced by the esteemed presence of Pro-Chancellor of LPU Col. Rashmi Mittal. Following this, there were informative sessions led by LPU management faculty who shared valuable insights on the potential opportunities awaiting the incoming students.
Industry luminaries including Harsh Dewan, Engagement Lead Strategic Accounts at Quantiphi Inc.; Rajput Singh, Consulting Program Director at Microsoft; Puneet Ahluwalia, Managing Director security of Accenture and Rajesh Kharabanda, Chairman of Nivia Sports; amongst others, shared real-life experiences to inspire and motivate the students, setting a positive tone for their academic pursuits. The students also had the valuable opportunity to interact with their teaching staff, fostering a sense of community and familiarity within their new environment. They also received important information about the university’s rules and regulations, ensuring a smooth transition into academic life.
Pro Chancellor Col. Rashmi Mittal extended a warm welcome to the new students, encouraging them to embrace personal growth during their tenure at LPU. Emphasising the importance of exploring beyond the confines of a rigid schedule, she urged students to immerse themselves in projects, experiments, and extracurricular activities to enrich their academic experience.
The cultural showcase at the event was a vibrant display of artistic talents, featuring captivating performances including dance, play, mime, and musical performances. Senior students organised ice-breaking activities to energise the freshmen and encourage them to exhibit their potential, ensuring a positive and enthusiastic start to their academic journey. A special doubt-clearing session was also conducted for accompanying parents, providing them with insights into training and addressing any queries they may have.
