| Smugglers arrested | | |
KATHUA SEPT –21- Kathua Police today arrested two drivers involved in smuggling of trucks while four SPOs who have been assisting them have been attached.
According to reports during checking at Kathua, Police stopped two brand new trucks on way from Punjab to Jammu. The drivers had dogged the officials at Lakhanpur toll post and evaded toll tax reportedly in connivance of some SPOs.
During interrogation, the drivers of the trucks told the Police that four SPOs had been helping them in carrying the new brand vehicles without paying taxes. All the four SPOs identified by the drivers have been attached and further investigations in the case taken up.
The SPOs identified include Rampaul, Ravi Kumar,Baldev Singh and Karan Singh.
