| No visitor to PoK, 24 guests arrive | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 19 : As many as 24 guests arrived here from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) while the Karvan-e-Aman was empty as no Kashmiri travelled to the other side. Official sources said that 24 guests, including six women and two children, arrived here from POK to meet their relatives after their separation during the 1947 partition. The guests travelled from Muzaffarabad, the capital of POK, to Chakoti, the last Army post on other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in a bus. However, they deboarded the bus and crossed the Aman Setu ( peace bridge) on foot. Sources said no citizen of this part of the Kashmir travelled to POK today and the bus from here to Aman setu, the last Indian Army post on LoC, was empty. However, 24 guest from POK later travelled in the same bus to Srinagar, they said. The cross-LoC bus was introduced in April 2005 to enable the divided families to meet when Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh flagged the first bus from here. The number of guests from both sides declined following the Mumbai terror attack and its one run was cancelled on a request from Pakistan after Lahore attack on Sri Lankan cricket team.
