Jammu Mar 20: Hari travels and help rehabilitation home, Roop Nagar, arranged an awareness program for the welfare of people associated with automobile industry at their office at B.C. Road here today.
Speaking in the program Dr. Vinod Dhar explained about concept of social and controlled drinking and the phases of dependence when it becomes difficult for a person to leave these substances. Misconceptions about alcohol and opium/ bokki use were clarified on the occasion. Bad effect of these substances on mind and body were explained. Tips to remain abstinent or in social drinking and adapting newer ways of relaxing after a hard day’s work were stressed for healthier life.
Audience showed great interest and asked about treatment option and facilities about which they were ignorant.
Gopal Arora, Project Coordinator of Home, moved the vote of thanks.
