| Two children died, many fall ill due to food poisoning | | | ashwani sharma

UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: About 34 persons with majority children fell ill due to food posing in Udhampur after attending a marriage party in Gordi area on Friday.
Sources informed that two of the infected children have died and two men were referred to GMC Jammu for specialised treatment while 30 persons with majority children were admitted at GMC Udhampur and were undergoing treatment.
All the victims had attended a marriage in village Satyalta of block Gordi but today they developed pain in stomach and started vomiting and were immediately rushed to GMC Udhampur where two children were declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, ADC Udhampur visited GMC Udhampur to inquire about the condition of the ailing patients including children.
"Those who were critical were shifted to GMC Jammu and the remaining were getting treatment at District Hospital Udhampur," informed GMC Principal adding possibility of more people having the infection can't be ruled out.
