BJP will form next government in J&K: Rana
8/2/2024 11:19:19 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 2: Exuding confidence that the BJP will form next government in Jammu and Kashmir, senior leader Devender Singh Rana today said given the overwhelming support of the people, the Union Territory is all set to usher in a new era of peace, progress and holistic development.
"Viksit Jammu and Kashmir is going to be a reality, as the Union Territory is on path of becoming a proud partner in the country's growth story under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi", Devender Rana said in an informal chat with the media persons on the side-lines of the weekly public hearing at the BJP Pradesh headquarters here this afternoon.
He said under the new BJP dispensation both the regions, irrespective of religion or caste shall get a fair deal in development and jobs with no region having hegemony over the other that had been the norm during successive governments for over seven decades. The die is cast and the people are eagerly awaiting to mandate the BJP to have a government that represents their urges and aspirations, he added.
Rana said the two regions of Jammu and Kashmir have been witnessing equitable opportunities in progress and development for the first time post abrogation of Article 370 after a dark era of dominance of one province over the other for nearly seven decades. He asserted that there will never ever be any compromise now with the rights of the people of Jammu.
Rana lamented that the successive governments in the past have not only bruised the pride and psyche of the Jammu region but deprived and discriminated the people in employment, progress, development and economic opportunities.
He emphasized the enduring significance of preserving the rights and pride of the Jammu region, saying the NDA government led by Prime Minister Yashasvi Narendra Modi has dispensed fair governance since 2014 with focus on inclusive growth and development of all three regions but the aberrations of the so-called pseudo dispensations towards the two particular regions shall remain a black chapter of pseudo-secular governments. For the first time Jammu is reaping the benefits of welfare schemes that remained elusive for over 70 years after independence, he added.
Referring to the grant of proprietary rights to the Displaced Persons of West Pakistan and Displaced Persons 0f 1965, Rana said this reflects the BJP's commitment to end the era of discrimination and deprivation. The abrogation of Article 370 paved the way for implementation of various schemes for the welfare of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Valmikis and other weaker and disadvantageous segments of the society. For the first time they are feeling a sense of pride and participation in the growth story of this great nation, he said, adding that the temporary provision incorporated in the Constitution at the instance of Jawaharlal Nehru had caused irreparable injustice to the various segments of Jammu and Kashmir people.
Earlier, Rana along with along with Munish Sharma, Prabhari BJYM and Veenu Khanna, BJP State Secretary listened to the problems, individual and collective both, of those who listed various issues during the public hearing and assured that these will be taken up with all the concerned for early redressal. He said the BJP has been endeavouring to reach the last person in the society to ensure that their grievances are addressed and the fruit of development and other schemes percolate down to every area.
