KATHUA, Aug 3: On 3rd August 2024, in an effort to enhance greener cover of the campus, Government Degree College (Boys) Kathua organized a plantation drive under the guidance of worthy Principal, Prof. Seema Mir. The activity was conducted under the theme "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam". The initiative aims to make Mother Earth green and clean, reflecting the commitment of the institution towards environmental conservation. Principal Prof. Seema Mir while addressing the students emphasized the significance of such events. She urged everyone to plant at least few saplings each year to combat various environmental challenges. During this plantation drive, various shady and native plants were planted by the students and staff members of the college. The main objective of this drive was to inculcate a sense of affection towards our environment. The event was meticulously conducted under the supervision of NSS Program officers Dr. Kulbir Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar and Dr. Pinkey and NCC ANOs Prof. Raj Kumari, Prof. Ajay Sharma and Dr. Daya Ram. |
