GDC Khour organizes cleanliness/pledge drive

KHOUR, Aug 3: On the occasion of India's 77th Independence Day under the banner of "Swachhta Pakhwada," GDC Khour conducted a Cleanliness drive under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) T. K. Sharma, Principal GDC Khour. Around 20 students participated in the cleanliness drive that was carried out in the college campus. As a part of series of events commemorating the Nation's freedom, NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers demonstrated their patriotism and commitment to social responsibility by collecting waste and disposing it properly. Further, students also took a pledge on cleanliness and committed to keep their surroundings clean and green. Prof. Shivani Sharma, ANO Boys Senior Division encouraged the students to adopt cleanliness habits and stressed on 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle' waste to minimize its harmful effects on environment. Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, NSS Programme Officer also highlighted the importance of cleanliness by emphasizing the harmful consequences of waste on individuals' health, environment sustainability and societal well being. The whole event was organized by Prof. Shivani Sharma, Prof. Himanshu Khajuria and Prof. Sunil Kumar. The initiative highlighted the institution's emphasis on fostering responsible citizenship and community engagement among its students.
