District Police Udhampur Conducted Thana Divas at Panchari

Udhampur, Aug 3: As part of public outreach programme, Thana Diwas was observed at Police Station Panchari of District Udhampur which was chaired by the DYSP DAR DPL Udhampur Sh. Bhutto Choudhary accompanied by Insp. Deepak Sharma SHO PS Panchari.
The meetings were attended by the Ex Sarpanches, Panches, lambadar, market/shopkeepers and respectables of concerned areas.
The Thana Divas is aimed at disposing off the complaints of the public on the spot and to make police - public relations better in the prevention and detection of crime with the healthy support of general public.
During the meeting, many issues raised by the participants were resolved on the spot as directions were for the same issued to SHO. However, the issues pertaining to other departments were noted to be further forwarded to the concerned departments for early redressal with a feedback reports to the persons raising the issue during the meetings.
DySP DAR also requested the participants to co-operate with Police and Administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements. Participants were also advice them to install CCTV cameras in their commercial establishments/shops which will help in curbing of Anti- social activities and criminal acts.
The locals are also advised to take precautionary measures in view of ongoing raining season since the area is prone to land slides / flashfloods and rivulets are overflowing to further prevent the loss of lives.
