DC Jammu pays tributes to Shaheed Major Arvind Bazala

JAMMU, Aug 3: The district administration today paid humble tributes to Shaheed Major Arvind Bazala at a solemn ceremony held at Government Model ICT Boys Higher Secondary School, RS Pura. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya planted a tree under the mission 'Ek Ped Shaheedon ke Naam' in his memory on the occasion.
The event was attended by SDM RS Pura Seema Parihar, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, DSP Nikhil Gogna, the school Principal, government officials, citizens and students.
After the tree plantation, the DC paid his respectful tributes to Major Bazala and met with his family. Addressing the gathering, the DC emphasised the need to honour the sacrifices of the nation's heroes and support their families. He highlighted the administration's efforts to immortalise their legacy through such events.
The DC also emphasised the significance of creating a better environment and nation for future generations. He stressed the importance of conserving water to ensure its availability in the future. Additionally, he encouraged individuals to contribute to nation-building and protection through their respective pursuits of life and professions.
Later, the DC visited the family of Shaheed Major Arvind Bazala, met with the family members and listened to the valiant stories of the hero and also assured full support from the district administration for their assistance and facility.
