| Bhim presents his book to PM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 21-Prof. Bhim Singh, the world’s number one globetrotter, who traveled around the world on Peace Mission from 1967 to 1973 presented his book, ‘Peace Mission, around the World on Motorcycle’ to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister at New Delhi today. This historic travelogue was released by Human Resources Minister, Arjun Singh last month in New Delhi. The Prime Minister appreciated Bhim Singh’s adventure and achievements. Prof. Singh is the first man in the world who crossed Western Sahara on Honda motorcycle from Morocco to Senegal, a distance of about 2000 kms in 20 days in 1971. He is the first Indian to have traveled 120 (now 140) countries of the world in about five years on Peace Mission. His book has earned great attraction among the younger generation in the universities and the colleges. Prof. Singh also greeted the PM on his fast recovery, after having undergone bypass surgery, in All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
