Jammu, Aug 4: Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC), Sidhra organized “Women Putting Competition” on 04-08-2024 to inculcate competitive spirit among the women. Many Women Players participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and zeal. Jyoti Koul displayed some great skills and lifted the trophy while Dr. Farhat Khan was the runner–up. Third & Fourth place was bagged by Wg. Cmdr. Rashmi Rawat and Tanvi Gupta respectively.
Jyoti Koul, Dr. Farhat Khan, Wg, Cmdr. Rashmi Rawat, Tanvi Gupta, Shreedha Gupta, Shridhi Pathania, Dr. Shafiqa Banoo, Dr. Mussarat Choudhary, Bindu Goel, P.Goel, Gul-e-Surkhab, Meenakshi Slathia, Ankita Sethi, Karuna Pathania, Deepali Handa, Hardeep Kour and Anjali Gupta Participated during the Competition.
Bala Jyoti (District and Session Judge) was the Guest of Honour. She said that putting contest is an innovative way to entice women players towards golf and nurture talent in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides that Secretary, Jammu Tawi Golf Course, Manav Gupta was also present on that occasion and he said that several steps have been initiated to popularize Golf in Jammu and such events will be organized on regular basis. He further mention, that Golf can become a sport where women and girls are inspired to participate, welcomed and nurtured throughout, and developed to achieve their goals.
Various Prominent Golfers Bhupesh Gupta, Sanjay Wahi, Raman Pargotra, Navneet Qazi, Joginder Singh, S.S Pathania, Ankush Hans were present on that Occasion.
National Golf Academy of India (NGAI) certified Professional Coach Rohit Gupta and several sports lovers were present to grace the occasion.
