BJP’s prolific policies behind Party’s rising popularity in J&K: Kavinder
8/4/2024 10:20:50 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 4: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Sunday asserted that the prolific and people-friendly policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are the driving force behind the Party’s rising popularity in Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior party functionary was addressing a programme in which scores of people from other political parties embraced the BJP and vowed to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. The joining programme was held at Ward 57, Menia Mohalla, where Raj Kumar, Sidhant Kumar, Ishpal Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Subash Kumar, Bhandari, Nitu Devi, Anu, and Sulekha Kumari joined the party fold in the presence of Kavinder Gupta, Vinay Gupta (former District President), Ankush Gupta (senior leader), and Ajay Gupta (former corporator, Ward 52).
Addressing a gathering of party workers and supporters, Kavinder Gupta emphasized the transformative impact of the BJP’s initiatives on the socio-economic landscape of the region. He highlighted several key policies that have garnered widespread support, including the abrogation of Article 370, which has integrated Jammu and Kashmir more closely with the rest of India, paving the way for increased investment and development. He pointed out that the region has witnessed significant infrastructural advancements, including the construction of new roads, highways, and bridges, which have improved connectivity and accessibility. These developments, he said, are instrumental in boosting trade and tourism, thereby creating new economic opportunities for the local population.
The senior BJP leader also mentioned the successful implementation of various central government schemes in the Union Territory. Programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Ayushman Bharat, and the Ujjwala Yojana have brought substantial benefits to the people, improving their quality of life. He noted that these schemes have provided affordable housing, healthcare, and clean cooking fuel to thousands of families, addressing critical needs and enhancing social welfare.
Furthermore, Kavinder praised the BJP’s focus on ensuring transparency and good governance. He highlighted the party’s efforts in rooting out corruption and promoting accountability at all levels of government. This, he claimed, has restored the public’s trust in the administration and has fostered a sense of inclusivity and empowerment among the citizens.
Kavinder also underscored the importance of the party’s grassroots outreach programs. He commended the dedication of BJP workers who have tirelessly engaged with the community, understanding their concerns, and working towards resolving them. This close connection with the electorate, he said, has been crucial in building a robust support base for the party.
He expressed confidence that the BJP’s commitment to development, good governance, and social welfare will continue to resonate with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, further strengthening the party’s position in the region. He urged party workers to maintain their momentum and ensure resounding victory of Party in the ensuing Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
