GGM Science College organizes “Discussion on Freedom Fighters”

Jammu, Aug 4: On August 4, 2024, Faculty Members and students of GGM Science College organized “ Discusison on Freedom Fighters” an event to commemorate 77th Independence Day celebrations. The “ Discusison on Freedom Fighters “ is organized to celebrate the spirit of unity, to remember the great sacrifices of freedom fighters to encourage the community to come together as one. This initiative aligns with the college’s mission to promote values of inclusivity and harmony among students and the broader public.
The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College. He said that “Discusison on Freedom Fighters” is not only a topic of discussion on a particular day, but their great sacrifices should be always remembered and a sense of respect and gratitude should be in our minds always. It also instills values such as unity, teamwork and the feeling of national integration among us.
A floral tribute was given to the Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar. This event served as a tribute to India’s independence Heroes and reminder of the importance of staying united as a nation.
The whole event was coordinated by ANo’s Lt. Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Dr. Shafia Saleem and NSS Program Officers Dr. Neha Sharma, Dr. Rahul Kait Prof. Lekh Raj, Dr. P. S Thakur, Dr Sunil Dutt, Dr Pankaj Gupta, Dr Jyotdeep Kour Raina, other faculty members and students.
