i, Varider Singh Sonu incharge Bahu Jammu, Rajender Manhas incharge Samba assembly constituency and Narendra Sharma incharge RS Pura Jammu South constituency.
Notably, recently a meeting of PDP’s top leadership was held in which it was decided to contest Assembly elections alone after Congress’s stand during the Lok Sabha elections.
Sources indicate that the PDP's top leadership has instructed its members to prepare candidate panels for all 90 seats in the region.
“The Congress leadership's prioritization of the National Conference during the Lok Sabha elections has led the PDP to reject any seat-sharing talks with other parties,” said a source. This decision has been communicated to all district presidents.
Party insiders reveal that from zone presidents to district presidents, PDP leaders have warned against forming alliances, believing that ceding seats to other parties would demoralize their supporters.
The PDP had expected the Congress to maintain neutrality during the Lok Sabha elections, particularly on the three Parliamentary seats in the Kashmir Valley.
“The PDP leadership is displeased with the J&K Congress's aggressive campaigning against our candidates,” the source added.
