| Sheikh concerned over non payment of compensation to farmers | | |

Jammu, Mar 20- State unit of the Samajwadi party Treasurer Mohammed Shafi Sheikh has expressed his grave concern over non-payment of adequate compensation to those whose land has been acquired for raising infrastructure for University Campus at Bhaderwah the foundation stone of which was laid some five back.
In a statement issued here today Sheikh he regretted that despite promises made to the people of the area that their wards would be absorbed in the University the concerned authorities have engaged employees from outside the Bhaderwah tehsil. He said that against this injustice the victims have launched a sit in dharna and protests at Bhaderwah for the last two weeks. He urged upon the government to see the writings on the wall lest it should turn another ‘Nandigram” and Samajwadi party shall not remain a mute spectator and will be constrained to come on streets in favour of the deceived and hapless land owners and their unemployed youth, he warned.
