Essay Writing Competition organized at GDC Sidhra

JAMMU, Aug 7: In continuation to the series of events and competitions conducted, under the banner of "77th Independence Day Celebrations" and the aegis of IQAC, NSS Unit of GDC Sidhra organised an "Essay Writing Competition" on 07.08.2024.
The theme for the essay writing competition was unsung heroes of freedom struggle and 77 years of Indian Independence. The event was coordinated by Dr Rudrika Khajuria, HOD English and Dr Purvaiya Hans, NSS Program Officer.
Students from various semesters of the college participated in the event with full zeal and zest. The competition was judged by Dr Anu Sharma, HOD Botany and Dr Meesha Bhagat, Asst Prof Political Science,
First position in the essay writing competition was bagged by Zaida Kouser of Sem 5, second position was secured by Ambika Sharma and Ruksana of Sem 3 stood third. The active participation and enthusiasm of the students made the event a great success. The entire program was organised by various committee members under the able guidance of worthy principal of the college, Dr. G.S. Rakwal.
