JAMMU, Aug 7: Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu, organized a "Dogri Speech Competition" in collaboration with the Senior Citizen Support and Service Club. The event aimed to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage and language of the Dogri community.
The competition was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including Anju Bansal and Ashok Gupta from the Senior Citizen Support Club, as well as the school's Principal, Rameshwar Mengi, and the in-charges of all school wings. In his address, Ashok Gupta emphasized the need for collective efforts to preserve and promote the Dogri language. Anju Bansal praised the participants for their dedication and hard work, highlighting the importance of linguistic pride and literature in promoting the Dogri language.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi commended the organizers and participants for their efforts in making the event a success. He expressed that everyone associated with the language needs to come together for its promotion and preservation, encouraging the masses to use the local language to protect cultural identity.
The event successfully brought together students and dignitaries to celebrate the Dogri language and culture, fostering a sense of pride and commitment to its preservation.
