UDHAMPUR, Aug 8: GDC Udhampur proudly hosted an inspiring exhibition of posters and slogans created on the 77th Independence Day. The posters on display reflected this year's theme, "Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle." Each piece of art vividly portrayed the struggles, sacrifices, and achievements of the nation, while also envisioning a bright and united future for India.The event, held on 08 August 2024, showcased the creativity and patriotism of students who captured the essence of India's freedom and unity through their artistic expressions.
Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr) Sanjay Verma commended the participants for their remarkable talent and deep understanding of the nation's values. The event drew students, faculty, and community members, all eager to witness the artistic interpretations of India's journey towards independence. In his address, the principal also emphasized the importance of such competitions in fostering national pride among the youth. He remarked, "These young artists have beautifully captured the spirit of Independence Day. Their work not only celebrates our past but also inspires hope and unity for the future." Dr. Gurpreet Kour and Prof Sanjeet Singh were also present during the event.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by ANO NCC Prof Vijay Kumar, who expressed gratitude to the participants, faculty, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
