JAMMU, MARCH 20 - In order to carry out the preventive maintenance work viz. tightening of 132 KV jumpers and bus bars repair of worn out droppers etc at 220/132/33 KV Gladni Grid Station, the shut down of Gladni Grid Station for 4 hours from 7.30 am to 11.30 am is allowed on March 22, 2009. The PHE, MES installations and other essential loads shall remain affected during the shutdown period. The areas shall remain affected during the shut down period included Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Satwari, Gangyal and Bari Brahmana Industrial Area and its adjoining areas, Vijaypur, Rajouri and Poonch districts and Akhnoor. Besides the areas of Channi Himmat, Sainik Colony, Bhatindi etc shall remain affected for six hours from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm on March 22, 2009 due to the shutdown on (G-6) 33 KV feeder. Similarly, in order to conduct the thickening work of 33 KV Medical Line, the power supply to Science College, Commerce College, Krishna Nagar, RRL, PHE, Guest House, CID, PHE up to Rajpura and GMC and adjoining areas of C-18 and C-19, PHE, Talab Tillo, Shakti Nagar, Rehari, Parade, Bakshi Nagar, Sarwal, Jewel, Prem Nagar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, Gohra Mohari, Patel Bazar, Bhagwati Nagar, Talab Tillo and adjoining areas have remain affected from 6.00 am to 10 pm on March 21, 2009. According to Chief Engineer M&RE Wing, Jammu the shut down is subject to fair weather conditions.
