GDC Sidhra conducts quiz competition

JAMMU, Aug 8: Sequel to the activities and events organized for celebrating 77th Independence day celebrations and observing Swachhta Pakhwada, an intra-college quiz competition was organized by NSS unit of GDC Sidhra in collaboration with College Development and Cultural committee. The students from various semesters participated with full enthusiasm and vigour for the same. All the questions for the event depicted the theme "National freedom struggle and unsung heroes" and "Swachhta" respectively. The competition was adjudged by Prof. Deepa Kak, HOD Education and Dr. Rudrika Khajuria, HOD English. The first position was bagged by Shahjahan of B.A. Sem III while second and third position was bagged by Belal Ahmad of B.A. Sem III and Ambika of B.A. Sem V respectively. The whole event was well organized and conducted by Dr.Purvaiya Hans, HOD History and NSS Proramme Officer along with her team. Worthy Principal Dr. G S Rakwal appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and also encouraged the students to participate more enthusiastically in such type of events in future as well.
