| Government Polytechnic Jammu organizes plantation drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 8: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu today organized a Plantation Drive in the college campus in collaboration with Forest Protection Force Jammu in which 60 students along with HODs and staff planted medicinal plants. The Plantation drive was held as a part of "Swachhata Pakhwada" activities organized by the college under the guidance of Principal, Er. Arun Bangotra Government Polytechnic Jammu under the theme of Plantation Drive "Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam'' and "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam". The team headed by Mrs. Tarvinder Kour, Assistant Director Forest Protection Force Gama unit J2 and under the supervision of Arun Kumar Deputy Director Forest Protection Force supervised the plantation drive in the college.
Principal Er. Arun Bangotra while speaking on the occasion impressed upon all the faculty, Staff and students to plant the trees and protect them so that they survive. He thanked the team from Forest Protection Force for providing plants and expert advice on handling the plants. Tarvinder Kour encouraged the students to plant trees in the college as well as at their places in order to save the environment.
The event was organized by Sukhdeep Singh, HOD Civil Engineering Department, others who were present on the occasion were Sanjay Koul HOD Computer Engg Deptt, Sh Ajay Thapa Lecturer-I Mechanical Engg, Chamel Singh PEM, Vinay Kumar, IRG instructor, other staff members and student of this institution. |
