Police solved theft case, 3 held, stolen cash recovered

RAMBAN, Aug 8: A written complaint was received at Police Station Chanderkote on 30.04.2024 from one person namely Reyaz Khan son of Fareed Khan resident of Kunfer, Chanderkote Tehsil and District Ramban that unkown thieves have broke down the locks of his shop at main market Chanderkote and decamped with cash amounting to Rs. 4,50,000/-.
Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No.56/2024 under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Police Station Chanderkote, and an investigation was initiated.
Keeping in view the senstivity of the case a special team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Sh. Anuj Kumar IPS under the close supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban to work out the theft case.
During the course of the investigation, police team of PS Chanderkote led by SHO Chanderkote rounded up several suspects. Upon sustained interrogation, the accused persons namely 1. Saddam Hussain son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Bypass Nagrota, Jammu 2. Liyaqat Hussain son of Shams Din resident of Chanderkote,Ramban 3. Anayatullah Seikh son of Nazir Ahmed Seikh resident of Chanderkote,Ramban confessed their involvement in the instant case and on their disclosure stolen property cash amounting to Rs.Four Lacs Fifty Thousand was recovered from their possession. Further investigation in the case is going on.
